Vento 2016 – A Striking Model by Volkswagen
For Volkswagen Vento 2016 model, this model is Vento Preferred Edition. The Vento has received an update which presents subtle and successful exterior changes, more standard equipment from the entry versions, equipment in favor of the comfort and safety of the occupants and new body colors as well as interior fabrics but the most striking thing is that the wide variety of versions has been extended with the arrival of the diesel version that will now be available with a 7-speed DSG box.

The Volkswagen Vento Specifications:
The interior of Vento, just like what happened outside, comes with details that improve the perception of quality. In this 2016 model has a new design of fabrics in clothing as well as the option of having light colors that give a touch of sophistication seen in a very good way on the board that can now be two-tone, very stylish, again, of his older brothers, the Jetta and even the Passat.
As for the standard equipment, all versions of Vento, both diesel and gasoline, presume airbags for driver and passenger, insurance and electric windows and key with remote control, fenders, handles and mirror housings to the color of the bodywork, the opening of the trunk One Touch and insurance of theft of auto parts.
The Volkswagen Vento 2016 have remained unchanged and are still those that have given good results in the dynamic performance/fuel efficiency ratio.
The petrol engine is a 4-liter 1.6-liter engine that delivers 105 hp and is available in the four versions of Vento, either with five-speed manual gearbox or six-speed. In the case of the diesel engine, the novelty is that it now offers a DSG automatic transmission with double clutch and seven speeds; the power of this 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine is 105 hp with a torque of 250 Nm that will undoubtedly be one of the most desirable options of the subcompact sedan as it promises performances of 24.2 and 26.1 km.
It has slight changes but more equipment and at the end of November seven-speed DSG box for different options. Nothing was said about the quality problems that have been presented in the unit.
The engine is still the four-cylinder 1.6-liter 105 bhp with a torque of 153 Nm with the five-speed manual gearbox. And the most equipped versions will have the seven-speed DSG box for the TDI diesel version.
There are no great changes abroad. A slight redesign of the chest, stickers here and there, mirrors with directional lights. There are light changes in rear reflectors and taillights. The steering is electromechanical.
The back side houses a simpler design, where the protagonist takes the skulls. Although the strokes do not break schemes, the way they light up when turning on the headlights is quite pleasing to the eye; It reminds us of the Audi LEDs, although in Vento all the bulbs are incandescent.
Unpretentious, the Volkswagen Vento looks current. The set gives rise to a sober design that is appreciated in a city court car capable of getting you on the road without major complications. If you are looking for a sportier character, you can buy the accessories that our test unit used: skirts, spoiler, diffuser and a discreet spoiler.

VW Tiguan for Sale: The All New SUV from Volkswagen
VW has now rounded up the engine range of the new Tiguan and further expanded the possible engine-gearbox combinations.
The Tiguan in the booming segment of compact SUVs is considered a surefire system. In other words, whoever buys it is right and basically cannot go wrong. This also applies to the second generation, which has been on the market since April 2016. That is not evolution, but rather a revolution.
Respect what VW put on the wheels. Alone visually, Tiguan number two acts adult and more dynamic than before. It has edgy modern instead of curvy soft. And, more importantly, by switching to the MQB engineering kit he not only lost several pounds but was also noticeably more spacious and that without having become significantly fuller. In any case, with 4.49 meters in length, it is clear that it is still compact enough for the narrowness and the bustle of city traffic.
The new Tiguan is no longer one of the smallest SUVs of the segment to become. This model has grown almost 30 cm compared to its last generation, to accommodate a wider trunk and accommodate the third row of seats.
Volkswagen Tiguan Reviews:
As before, the new Tiguan can be dressed differently. Depending on your personal taste either with the R-Line exterior (including special bumpers and sill extensions) emphasizes sporty or with the off-road package in a discreet off-road look.
Depending on their position of the back seat, the load volume varies between 520 and 615 liters. The maximum is 1655 liters.
Comfortably not only in the first row but thanks to asymmetrically divided, by 18 centimeters longitudinally movable rear seat also behind; depending on their position, the loading volume varies between 520 and 615 liters. The maximum is 1655 liters.
From Comfortline series: Remote release for folding down the rear seat backrests, through-loading and fold-down passenger seat back. This makes the Tiguan a transporter for loads up to 2.50 meters long. The latter eliminates the otherwise annoying inner loading edge and also ensures a folded flat backrest for an almost flat cargo area. It is also worth thinking about the luggage compartment lighting, which can be taken out and used as a flashlight and the electric tailgate, which is also available with gesture control.
The cockpit is a clear and top process. The virtual, high-resolution Active Info Display with 12-inch diagonal. On the equipment side, the Tiguan world is reasonably pre-structured by three lines.
It is designed with air conditioning, leather steering wheel, on-board computer, light and rain sensor, radio and heated mirrors on. There are also seven airbags, a “Front Assist” with pedestrian detection and city emergency braking function as well as the lane assists “Lane Assist”.
Its equipment also offers goodies such as extended chrome applications, higher-quality CD radio, roof rails, front comfort seats, multifunction steering wheel, high-beam assistant, fatigue detection, fog lights, and folding tables on the backs of the front seats and park beeper front and rear.
In appearance, the Tiguan Highline is the most attractive of the range. It is the only model that carries LED headlights and 19-inch wheels, plus an extra dose of chrome that includes details in the lower air intake and inside the headlights. The lighting of the skulls is also LED and with a specific “animation” for this version when the brake is pressed.
His strokes, like good Volkswagen, are very horizontal, with square features and angular lines.
Price of Volkswagen Tiguan:
Tiguan Volkswagen cost is Rs. 27.98 Lakh for the Comfortline variant and Highline model price is Rs. 31.38 Lakh.

Volkswagen Jetta: Next-Gen Volkswagen Jetta to be unveiled in January 2018
Volkswagen Jetta Automatic is going to launch the seventh generation of the VW Jetta in 2018.
The current generation of one of the most popular cars in our market was presented in 2010 and, without realizing it, already accumulates some years on their backs that are noticed in some areas, although it received a facelift for 2015. Despite for the years, we must say that to this day it is a competent product because of its solid handling and a very interesting set-up, but it is no longer the best in its segment and by 2018 it will seek the top of the category taking the base and engines.
Volkswagen Jetta New Model Images:
Volkswagen Jetta Specifications:
Being a Jetta Automatic, there will be more sporty versions in our market with the GLI surname and the ubiquitous 2.0-liter engine that could stretch to reach 230hp and almost 260lb-foot of torque. The transmissions for all the Jetta Automatic 2018, GLI or not, will be manual 6-speed or well-known and much-appreciated DSG double clutch with 7 steps.
The seventh installment of the Jetta will share the modular transverse chassis MQB of the Volkswagen Group with the most recent deliveries of the group, cars such as Tiguan, Golf, and Atlas. It will be manufactured in Puebla for the whole world together with the new Tiguan with extended bodywork and the Volkswagen Golf, which will also have a facelift for the 2018 model year.
It is under the hood where the current Jetta already suffers because it maintains the same engines that were presented with the fifth generation in 2005,
The options that we can see under the chest are, mainly, three. The first alternative is the current 1.4-liter turbo with 150hp that we like so much and that we find in Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3. The second alternative is a 2.0-liter with 190hp and 236lb-ft of torque that just arrived in our country in the Audi A3 2017 and also equipped the input versions of the Audi A4. Finally, the third option, and one that frankly seems the most attractive, is the new 1.5-liter block of the TSI Evo family that will equip the Golf with its face wash, this engine incorporates technologies such as the deactivation of cylinders and the cycle Miller combustion to achieve the best fuel consumption, delivery 150hp and would be able, according to our estimates, to travel about 18km / L in mixed cycle.
Aesthetically we already have an idea very close to how it will look, we hope it will be very similar to the Volkswagen Lamando that has been commercialized for a few months in the market (in the images), with smooth lines that remind us of the Volkswagen CC due to the fall of the pillar C and how it is incorporated into the trunk.
Automatic is of utmost importance to the aspirations of the German giant. If Volkswagen wants to position itself as a high volume brand in the United States and Canada, they should hit the target with this new car. We have no reason to think that it cannot be so, the table seems to be served with one of the most modern plants in the world (Puebla), latest generation engines (TSI) and a very effective platform (MQB).
Volkswagen Jetta Diesel and Petrol Price:
The price of the Volkswagen Jetta Automatic will start at Rs. 14.69 lakh for petrol and the higher range is at Rs. 16.24 lakh. And the price of diesel model will be Rs. 15.86 lakh and the top-end diesel is priced at Rs. 20.80 lakh.

Volkswagen Virtus Preparing to Launch in Brazil: Spy Shots
Volkswagen’s Virtus sedan units are all set to step out in the Brazilian market and some spy shots of the car helps us catch a glimpse of how the sedan looks.
Virtus is a sedan which has been based on the concept of new Polo hatchback which was to be called Volkswagen Vento if it was to be sold in Indian markets.
Volkswagen Virtus has the same modular MQB Ao platform which supports most new generation cars of Volkswagen, including the all new Polo. Virtus was unveiled for international markets in June.
The spy photos taken from the factory floor reveal that the design of Volkswagen Virtus resembles the new Polo. The same can be said for Vento too which is sold in India. The front portion of the car is just like the hatchback but there is a difference in the design of the bumper which has a full-width chrome trim. The spoiler on the rear is quite refined. The similarity in the design with that of Polo is till the front door after which Virtus a different design as it has has been made quite spacious. The notchback like design on the rear is quite fascinating and the design of the tail-lamp is much like that of Audi A4. The back glass is quite big and sporty and makes the sedan look cohesive.
Coming to the interior of the Virtus the dashboard once again looks much like that of the all new Polo. There is a flat bottom steering, 10.2 inch virtual cockpit instrument cluster and a big touchscreen infotainment system and navigation placed quite high. Also included is a climate control and although not quite clear but there is a cruise control. The pictures don’t show the space inside the car but it definitely has more space than Polo.
Virtus might be launched in Brazil with two motors which would run on petrol or ethanol with a capacity of 1.6 litre, 1.0 litre of TSI unit developing 128PS of maximum power and MSI unit developing 120PS of maximum power.
Volkswagen is building the Virtus in Anchieta plant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The first MQB A0 platform based sedan would be available for sale soon.

Whether or not Volkswagen India would make the Volkswagen Virtus available in the Indian markets is not quite clear. For now the company is busy assessing on how they could develop a low budget SUV/car for Indian roads. Presently the range of Vento, Polo and Ameo have been based on an old platform which has already been introduced in the world and with the markets across the globe switching over to MQB platform Volkswagen India would be unable to keep up with the high costs to develop cars on an old platform.
The new MQB platform would be a bit expensive for India presently but the products manufactured in the future would be more competitive. Upcoming products of Volkswagen such as Tiguan and T-ROC would be priced well if they were assembled in India.

Sketches of Volkswagen T-ROC SUV Leaked
Volkswagen has released a teaser sketch and a short video of the T-ROC on Twitter which according to the company has been confirmed to debut globally in August 23.
The images show the coarse dimensions and original design which have been merged into the earlier sketches from a wider angle in the profile but these spy pictures of the pre-production car reveal that the look is definitely going to be toned down for the finishing model.
The video shows small peeps of different features of T-ROC such as wheels, front and rear lights and wing mirrors.
The in-the-metal work in which the name of T-ROC has been written reveal that the designers of the car have been inspired from ‘Tiguan’ which also happens to be one in the line of SUV’s of Volkswagen. T-ROC however, has a lower riding compared to Tiguan which was showcased in 2014, Geneva Motor Show. T-ROC also happens to draw quite a bit from Polo.
The production of T-ROC will soon begin, the company is already staking on the road competence and design of the car. If one remembers ‘Taigun’ of Volkswagen showcased in 2014 in India – T-ROC happens to be an advanced version of it.
The T-ROC can be expected to have a powerful look, integrated headlights along with wide and bold radiator grille. The day time running lights or DRLs and turn indicators have been stationed on the bumper.
Volkswagen Golf would also be available for sale along with T-ROC SUV and it would be sharing the modular design structure with Audi Q2 SUV as the MQB platform which is supporting the base of Audi Q2 is same for T-ROC. The overall dimension of T-ROC would be similar to that of the Audi Q2.
Volkswagen would be having both petrol and diesel versions of T-ROC and the complete range which powers the Volkswagen Golf is likely to be used on SUV with different tuning. The 1.0 three cylinder turbo petrol engine and the 1.5L TSI petrol engine which was used on Golf will be used in T-ROC. For some time now Volkswagen has been trying to introduce small displacement diesel engines to their new SUV’s and cars however, T-ROC will not have this. The diesel variants of the T-ROC SUV will definitely boost the sales for Volkswagen.
There will be 1.6L TDI and 2.0L TDI options in the diesel engine variations with both six speed manual and seven speed DSG on offer. The 4-motion all-wheel drive system may also feature on the top models of T-ROC. Customers can expect GTI, GTE plug-in, GTD and the R version of T-ROC later on but a fully electronic T-ROC may not be available. Volkswagen has announced that their electric SUV’s and cars would be sold under the Volkswagen I.D. brand which would be based on electric MEB platform. Its prototype was displayed in the Paris Motor Show in 2016 but the production vehicle based on the prototype would be launched only in 2019.

India Made Volkswagen Vento is the Third Largest Selling Car in Mexico
Volkswagen India adds a milestone to the company’s history as it exported its 2,50,000 cars to Mexico. The Indian branch of the German manufacturer has indeed added a feather to its cap. These India made cars are different variants of left hand drive Vento sedan and Polo hatchback.
Volkswagen also declared that Vento was the third largest selling passenger car sector in Mexico. The car company began the production of Vento in 2009 and began exporting the car to Mexico in 2013.
More than half of the cars produced at the Volkswagen plant in Pune, Maharashtra contribute to export for Mexico. The Jetta Classico of the Mexican market was replaced by VW Vento manufactured by India. The build, quality, comfort, design and safety standards of the car has since then fascinated the buyers in Mexico.
Volkswagen did a business of 86, 852 cars in the year 2016-17. By registered a growth of 14.3% and became the fifth largest auto exporter of India. They were also the company to export the highest number of cars in this financial year compared to its competitors Maruti Suzuki and Nissan. In the financial year 2015-16 they had exported 75,989 cars.
The company has made an overall export of 3.10 lakh cars and the users of Volkswagen cars are spread in more than 35 countries across Asia, Africa, North and South America.
While being one of the best Volkswagen also entrusts the best to have their job done as the shipment of Mexico would be delivered by Hoegh Trigger which is one of the biggest vessels of Hoegh Autoliners – the largest pure car and truck carriers in the world.
The President and Managing Director of Volkswagen India Private Limited, Dr. Andreas Lauermann said that the increasing demand of India-made Volkswagen cars in international markets such as Mexico bear testament that the company focuses on quality products throughout their manufacturing investments across the world – in accordance with their “think global, build local philosophy!” Speaking about India he said, they have offered Volkswagen a rich blend of local market opportunity along with manufacturing expertise which has helped the company to benefit the world with cars that are “German in their soul and local in their flavour.” Volkswagen would continue investing in this prospect and await further accomplishments from India in the future years.
Less production related and labour costs are the main reasons to why car makers flock to India to set up their export hub.
Volkswagen has made an investment of about Rs 6,000 crore/ € 825 million at the Chakan, Pune plant. They have attained a localization of around 82% without transmissions and engines. There are 4,000 employees working in this plant which has been functioning since March 2016.
Also there are reports which reveal that the probable partnership between Volkswagen and Tata Motors seems to have led nowhere and the discussion seems to have been closed. Volkswagen had desired to further cut down on the cost of production by sharing the platform with the local companies in India. They are now focused on developing their own platform in the country.

Hyundai Tucson vs Volkswagen Tiguan Comparison
Although Volkswagen calls the Tiguan as a competitor to small German SUV’s, the SUV comes in as a direct opponent to Hyundai Tuscon as both seem to have the same structural look and size. Here is a quick comparison of the two cars in case you are considering on buying one of the SUVs.
Design
When it comes to the feel and look Tuscon grabs your attention more than Tiguan. From the dynamic wheel arches to the pulled back-lamps, SUV definitely has a handsome face. The rear tail lamps however could have been more refined.
Tiguan on the other hand has big and full LED headlamps but the design of the bumper and grille are quite cowed. However, the metal work on the door handles, chrome strip on bumper and tail lamps with hockey shape have quite a clean and graceful. Overall attractive but Tuscon still has an upper hand.
Tiguan has a dark interior, the upholstery is black while the dashboard is dark grey. Tuscon has used a beige and black theme because of which the car feels more spacious. The sunroof and large windows used by Tiguan also makes it more airy both of which is absent in Tuscon. Both SUV’s have leather upholstery but that of the Tiguan is more luxurious.
There is an Android Auto/Apple CarPlay compatible touchscreen device along with a full colour multi-information display in both the cars. While both have powered driver seats along with lumbar support which is adjustable and heated extended mirrors, memory function, heated function in front seats and wing mirrors are what Tiguan has.
Tiguan has more knee room yet Tuscon is wide and the transmission tunnel is less invasive which gives it an added point as a three-seater. The seats of Tuscon are more comfortable compared to that of Tiguan. Tuscon has a boot space of 513 litres while Tiguan has 615 litres. The cabin of Tuscon is of good quality but that of Tiguan is better and a step ahead. Even the smallest details have been finished with great care giving it a premium feel.
Tiguan from Volkswagen takes a lead in terms of features and design.
Related: Volkswagen Tiguan Specifications
State of Play
Tiguan comes only in the diesel variation so the discussion would be based on the 2.0 litre turbo diesel variants. Hyundai made a debut of their 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine in Tuscon and it seems to be quite sturdy. It generates 185hp and 400Nm of torque. It also has a six speed automatic/manual gearbox the performance of which is quite smooth. A drawback however is whenever the throttle is lifted the revs (speed measured in revolutions per minute) plunges down to 1,000 rpm each time. The motor of Tiguan generates 143hp and 340Nm of torque and has a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The engine sound can be heard from outside but it is quiet from the cabin, lesser noise compared to Tuscon. The motor rev is quite responsive and the shifters move gracefully to your command.
Tiguan features a Haldex style all wheel drive system while Tuscon is front wheel drive. There are three driving modes in Tuscon – Eco, Noral and Sport but lacks adjustability although the performance is quite strong. Tiguan has four driving modes – Normal, Snow, Off-road and Off-road individual all of which are controlled through a rotary dial near the gear changer. With Tiguan one can enjoy an aggressive ride while Tuscon is meant for the highway.
Related: Volkswagen Tiguan Review & Images
Final Choice
Tuscon may be priced on the lower side but the features, interior and the feel of driving of Tiguan is overwhelming. You may have to pay a bit extra but Tiguan is definitely a take home and worth every penny spent.

The Looks and Specs of New Volkswagen Polo
The 2009 release of the fifth generation Polo by Volkswagen has been highly successful across the globe. It bagged in various prestigious awards apart from the world rally titles it won through its Polo R WRC creation. It’s now time to say good bye to it as it reached the end of its lifecycle. The new release of Volkswagen Polo 2018 is now marking its way to supersede all its predecessors. The looks and specs of the new release is here:
This new model of Volkswagen Polo is set to be launched in the first half of 2018 in India and to our surprise it will not be launched in the famous Auto Expo 2018. In Europe, it will be launched most likely in the second half of 2017 itself. Volkswagen has cleverly planned the launch of its other variants in the SUV and sedan verticals once it is release the Polo 2018 edition.
Unlike the existing fifth generation Polo, the 2018 release will not be a value for money edition. Be expectant to see a drastic rise in the price to as much as Rs. 6 Lakhs for the petrol variant itself. We are deducing this as we witnessed the Ameo being priced radically though it is less expensive when compared to the Polo releases.
Based on the MQB platform, the new Volkswagen Polo 2018 are suspected to be working on completely new petrol engines which includes 1.0L, 1.2L and 1.5L engine displacements. India will be likely to get the 1.L or the 1.2L engine displacement version. There is no change in the engine displacement of the diesel version; it will be powered from 1.5L to more.
Related: Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus Launches in India
The best speed that the petrol version can go in a city is 15 kmpl, on a highway is 20 kmpl and the overall mileage is 19-21 kmpl. Coming to the diesel variants, its speed in the city is 17 kmpl, on the highway is 23 kmpl and the overall mileage that can be drawn is 22-23 kmpl.
The exteriors of the all new Mk6 or the Volkswagen Polo 2018 release get new nose, bumpers and headlights. The complete car is designed with clear straight lines and is much bigger compared to the existing version. It adopted the design ideas from the existing T-Roc, T-Cross breeze. It might miss out on the LED lamps and DRL’s to keep the cost lower. The new model comes with dual beam head lights along with electrically foldable side mirrors with turn indicators. Volkswagen mainly concerns on safety perspective, POLO 2018 model equips with dual front airbags.
On a high note, Volkswagen is speeding up in launching new models to withstand competition and with new Polo 2018 it is eyeing to bag new segment of customers.
